I don't know if they get an actual bit or if it's just the tag showing (cause it doesn't always show up) when you hover over the Sim.
It usually fixes it self by travelling and other things.
Don't think I have an old save to check if they have the actual bit.
Did you never notice a tag when hovering over him ?
Went back to the bugged save again, and he has Neighbor over his name when I hover over him. Hadn't noticed that before. And that tag did disappear when I went to another lot. And it persists after being invited in.
I've also seen Date over sims' names after the date is over.
I also found another bug developed in the game so decided to port my family to a new world. Sad as the lost all their family background but it was the only way to fix them. The new world had the error where you couldn't interact with plants so spent time setting up there place and decided to move world again. And finally found a world that I have only found one error in but can eventually work around it do its annoying but ok.
