i got this bug today, my game is updated to the latest patch. since there were multiple reports without mods, even console players, then it’s probably not caused by mods. what happened was, my sims held a house party event hosted by every member of the household. when the event was over, one of my sims was suddenly marked as “neighbor” and there were no options to interact with her other than “invite in”. so i tried clicking it, but some mins later she acted like a neighbor visiting your sims, saying “my time is pretty much over here and want to hangout more”. my workaroud was: using MCCC or DQuiet sim control hub (situation manager module) to remove the sim from current situation. somehow, this sim was assigned to a random situation of “neighbor taking out trash” or something. i quit to manage household, entered again and she’s back to normal.
