Household Sim turns into burglar triggering burglar event

I also just got this glitch. Only got it after the newest update. 

Could you please provide the following information

• Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
• What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, Playstation, XBox)
• Do they have a burglar tag above them or just trigger the alarm/burglary event

The same thing has been happening to me. Does it mean my save is corrupted? I moved my sims out, bulldozed the lot, moved someone else in, then my sims back in and I was able to get rid of it, but it happened again. & this time it followed my sims to a different lot. It has stopped my gameplay twice- not sure how to proceed.

I am using mods. I play on Mac. I had removed the alarm pad and it was still happening. Disallowing burglaries in the game options menu resolved the issue for me. 

I had previously gone through removing mods/cc and various tests, and it still came back.

How did you remove your mods/cc ? Did you move them all to the desktop, deleted the localthumbcache file and still had it happen (newly) ?

Also: 

• Do they have a burglar tag above them or just trigger the alarm/burglary event 

I would love if this would stop happening in my game. I can't figure out when or why it happens so I can't prevent it from happening. I have to exit to the menu & lose all my progress if it doesn't stop. Disabling the burglar visit in the middle of the event does nothing, it still just loops & won't stop. Please fix this.
