When a foal comes to feed from its mother, the mother's hunger goes down and she starts starving. I had my horses taken away like that twice. The foal stops feeding and i get a notification that they are taking away the mother.
I don't know if its an intended feature for the horse to get hungry while feeding the baby, but if it is then it's still weird and annoying.
