Honestly I blamed myself when I saw this bug because i use UI cheats, but I'm both peeved and glad its an EA mess up. How is it that they are not testing these issues consistently enough that their solutions create more problems? They need to test patches with all packs installed but also test with just the relevant pack so we don't end up encountering seasons UI where high school UI should be!!
