[IL] Mermaid tail is invisible

the vampire character i made and play as in the game gave a mermaid a friendship bracelet and no longer has a tail when game randomly made htem they had a tail and i think they swim with the tail some nights later when they swim but when gave a friendship bracelet they swim they have no tail ha they do seem to get stuck on stuff sometime not sure it matters i think before there were problem with mermaids tails disapearing but who knows and idont use mods or cheats i onyl play defualt inever u knwo use that and dont wnat to reset sim which woudl use that stuff and it praobly make bracelet disapear but idont wnat to do that just letting them know so they can fix it and there doesnt seem to be a way to really say anything about bugs ha hi all ihope everyone in the world doing ok and everything having a good week and has a good weekend and everything its almost Easter happy Easter God bless

the friendship bracelet is interesting. Maybe it's any kind of 'jewelry' making the tail disappear.

I've been having this issue on PC. Mermaid fins just disappear at random, even on sims like Nalani Mahi'ai or Kalamainu'u Iona.  I currently have mods installed but I was about to disable them to see if it still happened without them - though, given how random it is, it will be a hard thing to test (even harder without one of my mods, which increases mermaid spawns on certain lots... might have to re-enable that.)

I can re-add the fins through CAS, but I have to remember on my own which fin goes with which mermaid.

Not currently on latest patch (because of the mods) but such a bug fix isn't listed in the patch notes. (I am, however, on the patch before current.)

I am having this issue as well. Playing on PC.

I have this problem too. I thought my tail was just missing while my sim female got pregnant and had a belly while bathing, so each time I went swimming or took a bath the tail didn't show up and her lower body was invisible until she put clothes on. But this wasn't the case. The tail on both my sims was missing even after having their twin babies, so I had to go to the mirror and click on change sim to re-apply the tail on both. I hope this is a bug that EA could fix soon, cuz it's very annoying 🙏

I hope this is the right spot for me to write this.  I’ve been having the same issue with the tail disappearing completely. I don’t use mods and I’m also on a Xbox x and latest update. I’ve had nothing but trouble with this sim/mermaid. I’ve done hard reset on the system, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled all of the sims with add ons. I’ve even tried changing the tail but as soon as I go to live mode it disappears.. help please 🙏🏻🙏🏻 and this is the first time using the mermaid trait. 

I do use mods, and I'm a PC player, but every time my merman sim transforms, I can't see his tail! It's like that for all of my merfolk Sims. Here is an image attached. I wonder what's going on? 

All of my mermaid sims on PC are also missing their tails. It does not matter if it is a controlled sim or a townie sim.  I do not use CC.

I had the same problem, and suddenly the other mermaids in the ocean had them.

I "solved" it by finding a tail that wouldn't disappear and saving the sims in the CAS (I haven't tested that with the other tails).
See image: I was wearing tail 1 and tried tail 2, same problem. Tail 3 still hasn't disappeared.

Which tail did you have the problem with?
