Infant/Toddlers loose interactions after Daycare (Nanny/Daycare choice dialog)

When coming back from my sims part time job she isn’t able to interact with her infant or toddler. Every time i have to go back to the main menu and then load back in the game in order for her to work. everytime i click on her family it just says “actions” and then “open profile”. I’m not to sure how else to fix it. i play on xbox.
