My toddler can interact with my young adult sim (father) but my young adult sim can't interact with toddler (unless toddler has interacted first). When young adult sim is active and click on toddler only the option "more choices" appear. When toddler is active I can interact with young adult sim. After having socialized with young adult sim as toddler, young adult sim can interact with toddler. But I have to repeat this sequence about every other click on my toddler .
I have no CC or Mods installed.
I had the same issue a couple of times. What worked for me was resetting the adult and the toddler sims with the „testingcheats true” command (you can reset the sim by right-clicking on them and choosing the correct option). Hope this helps

Thanks for the tip but it doesn't work unfortunately. :( What seems to work is to switch from the active household to another and then switch back again.

I did send my toddler to daycare, correct. The same issue happened again (in another household), after toddler returned from daycare.
I can't introduce the Sim to the toddler.
