I am experiencing a serious gameplay issue in The Sims 4 that persists even in a completely clean installation.
The problem
When an adult Sim comes home from work, clicking on a toddler only shows “More Choices…”. All normal toddler interactions (Pick Up, Toddler Care, Talk, etc.) are missing. This happens every time.
Details
I am on Windows 64-bit using the EA App
This happens in brand-new saves with new households
It happens with NO mods and NO CC
The issue only appears after the Sim returns from work
Everything I have already tried
Removed all mods and script mods
Deleted all saves and created new ones
Reset the Sims 4 user folder
Fully uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 4
Cleared EA App cache (both App Recovery and manual cache deletion)
Repaired the game multiple times
Removed Legacy Edition files (including Delta_LE)
Confirmed the game is using the 64-bit executable (TS4_x64.exe)
Launched the game directly via TS4_x64.exe as administrator
Verified all packs are installed correctly
Despite all of this, the issue still occurs.
Additional important information:
My account previously had The Sims 4 Legacy Edition installed. Even after removing Legacy files and reinstalling, the game still behaves as if Legacy compatibility rules are active.
Based on extensive troubleshooting, this appears to be an account-side Legacy compatibility / entitlement flag issue, not a local installation or mod problem.
