Ideas
Hey all,
If you're still experiencing issues with this, please provide the following information to help us investigate further:
-What life stage is your Sim currently in?
-What interaction is your Sim currently doing, and what interactions are queued?
-What game speed are you currently playing on?
Unfortunately, it really happens at all life stages. What the interaction is varies, but I think it's mostly when something was auto-queued rather than what I tell them to do. Particularly interactions with infants and pets, or sometimes with passing NPCs - and it's usually when it's not canceled directly, but gets blocked somehow. Some examples:
- Talk to passing NPC, but NPC leaves lot
- Talk to cat, but cat falls asleep
- Check infant, but infant won't stop crying to allow themselves to be checked on
- Join cooking, but cooking finished before they got there
- Dance, but radio broke
When it does happen on a direct cancel, it's often a "stubborn" interaction. Examples:
- The toddler dancing bug where they won't stop queuing dance eventually gets a dance interaction stuck
- Extremely tired sim keeps trying to go to bed when I'm trying to get them to finish chores first, may eventually get sleep stuck
- Sim on public lot keeps trying to order a drink or talk to strangers while I'm trying to get them to talk to their date, may eventually get wait for drink or chat with [not their date] stuck. Of course this last example may also fit the first situation - maybe it was because the bartender wouldn't stop doing tricks to actually make their drink, or some other sim stole their drink, or the NPC they were trying to talk to left.
I mostly play on speed 1. I have not noticed if speed 3 makes it worse or not.
