Items are getting stuck in the grab hand when moving from stacks to inventory

Trying to move anything between storage (ex: the fridge) and the sims inventory is moving the first stack and then automatically selecting another object in the storage. The next item or stack select...

I am experiencing the same thing when transferring items from the refrigerator to my Sims inventory. It won't release the objects until I exit the game and reload. Then I can move one item into the Sim's inventory before it sticks again.

I do play with mods but the rest of my game runs smoothly.

Since posting this reply, my game has become nearly unplayable. The glitch is happening more often and is affecting my bookcases as well.
