Items are getting stuck in the grab hand when moving from stacks to inventory

Trying to move anything between storage (ex: the fridge) and the sims inventory is moving the first stack and then automatically selecting another object in the storage. The next item or stack select...

I am also having this exact issue, xbox series s, no mods or cc. It's been been happening a couple of weeks. Specifically for fridge or box to Sim's inventory. I have to click the menu button to go to manage worlds to do anything else. I tried replacing the fridge it was happening to, clearing data and reloading.
