Items are getting stuck in the grab hand when moving from stacks to inventory

Trying to move anything between storage (ex: the fridge) and the sims inventory is moving the first stack and then automatically selecting another object in the storage. The next item or stack select...

I'm having this issue, and it seems to have gotten worse. I now also cannot drag items FROM my sim's inventory. I can't even drag them to sell them.

I rolled back to a previous save before the issue started. Reloading the save and restarting the game wasn't changing anything, so I think once the issue starts, it's permanent.
