Items are getting stuck in the grab hand when moving from stacks to inventory

Trying to move anything between storage (ex: the fridge) and the sims inventory is moving the first stack and then automatically selecting another object in the storage. The next item or stack select...

I'm having the same problem. The only way I can fix it is to save and then get out of the game and go back in. I don't use mods and I'm playing with a pc. Sometimes it comes unstuck when I click on something and sometimes it doesn't.
