All of this happens to me and I do play with mods/cc but I also tested it in a brand new save with no mods/cc. ALL my sims garden because I make them do it, it's their main side hustle which makes them rich.
They can make between $100-$200k per week depending on their harvest and if they haggle for a 25% increase for what they sell. In my current save my sims is the Queen of Ondarion. She is for the commoners and is able to keep taxes on the kingdom between low/normal. She uses the funds from gardening to give back to the kingdom and this issue is messing with my overall plans for this particular save. TBH, it's hosing up all my saved games.
Please fix this issue as I would like to get on with my gameplay. 😉
