I did manage to play a few hours on 3/24/2026 without triggering this error, but I was scrupulous about using the "open stack" to select items to move and closing any storage, cooler, or fridge before opening a new one. I also used the Esc button religiously to clear anything that stuck temporarily before clicking on anything else. This made the process a little slow, but seemed to work for the most of the session. So, yay? 😊
Yeah it is definitely confusing what seems to trigger it. 😂 For me I noticed I can drag a stack from my sims inventory into the fridge (like, without opening the fridge inventory, just hovering over it). The bug seems to specifically happen when you have TWO inventories open (chest, fridge) and drag it into your sims inventory panel. That's when my cursor gets stuck with a 89 roses and I can't drag anything else.
Hope this gets fixed. In the meantime I've downloaded Littlemssam's mod: transfer inventory. It's not as good as being able to micromanage your inventory, but at least it avoids the bug completely.
