After grilling food by the archaeology table in the temple that has one, the food gets placed on a tall half wall by the gate to the next section, and no portion can be grabbed from that food. This happened again after grilling again with the food being placed on a second half wall, and only after grilling a third time would the food be place on the floor by the grill and be able to be grabbed. This was discovered in a new save with mods disabled from the start.

I'm very familiar with the problems cleaning up plates from the slightly higher than counter height half walls in Palomino Junction. You can actually get sims to clean up those plates by cleaning up the plates on the half walls first. This is different, as despite being able to put the platters on the very tall half walls, the sims can not grab a serving off platters on those half walls.
