Keep getting the option to adopt biological child

I have the same problem. It is a pre update world. The child was created as an infant in start menu with her mother before the update. I have no mods. When raising infant and toddler 'adopt child' was always in the interaction wheel. I even clicked it to hope it would go away. Even after the child was adopted by her own mother 'adopt child' was still an option. Now she is a child it does not appear.

Any update on this issue ? I have the exact same situation. When clicking on "Adopt" (after a reincarnation as infant), there is a successful message ("It's official, X is now part of Y family."). But my adult sims cannot not interract with the infant and the adopt option is still showing in the pie menu.
