Last Exceptions: updating story progression service

I received an LE while my game was paused, no sims were interacting with each other, and the only thing I was attempting to do was look at the relationship panel between my two sims. One sim was autonomously using the toilet, another sim was autonomously using the computer to chat, and the other sim was a sleeping infant.

After receiving this LE, I saved my game as a new file, and immediately after saving, a new, different LE popped up. No gameplay occurred during this time.

Prior to this gaming session, I was mod light (7 scripts, 17 packages including MCCC). After bugs from yesterday's patch update (2-19-26), I removed all mods except for one. The only mod that I currently have in my folder is TwistedMexi's Better Exceptions to alert me when an LE has occurred, since as far as I can tell, the LEs are not occurring through actions that I am performing through my sims.
