While the blank fix worked recently, the new issue seems to be that previously locked frames that maintained their image are defaulting to the shapeless gray image upon loading into a cemetery lot [see attached].
In some cases the photo can be retrieved by unlocking and relocking the photo, but this won't work for all of them- especially, I'm guessing, older photos of long-dead sims. I tried a workaround of going into a previous save where the photos remained with their proper attachment, saving all of the portraits into a room on the library, and placing it into the newer save. While the portraits showed the correct picture in the room when placed and on the gallery preview, the minute they were moved whatsoever, that deleted the image and set them back to default even while locked again with the proper image. This seems to happen every time the lot (and the item) is reloaded- even with images that can be assigned with a recently deceased sim.
As another attempt, I even tried to copy over the whole lot itself to replace the broken one. Nope, can't do that. Graves trigger an 'This object can't be deleted' notice and even attempting to move them in live mode has varying success. Graves in urns and mausoleums were turning up totally immovable to the sim I was using regardless of how recently they were deceased.
So, I'm pretty much stumped on what to do with this and it seems capable of destroying lots of cemeteries for the foreseeable future? The save I was using is a legacy save about 12 generations in, so while sims as far back as four generations seemed to still have their portraits recoverable on unlock/relock and- for some reason- generations 1 and 2 as well, the rest seem to just be newly busted with no hope of recovery. Obviously, this is a bummer for anyone trying to use this item/feature long-term.
No mods, no CC. Can share my save if needed- both of when the images were working pre-update and when they decided not to post.
