I'm seeing this too and found a bit of a hacky fix that's worked for me so far using MCCC:
The "Dead" sims still appear as alive in the family tree despite having existing gravestones.
- Forced said "dead" sim to my lot
- Moved them into my household
- Waited for their next "death" which was a few sim hours
- Actively having them die in my household seemed to stop the notifications
- Gathered up ALL of their urns from my own house and their old house
- Ferried them to the Ravenswood crypt and went home
For me, I haven't seen the notification again. Idk if this will help anyone else. Force killing them failed me too, but moving them in and letting them die again worked. I've only had this happen with previous household sims that were moved out of the main household ie siblings of my main sim
This was the bug to finally make me use post to the forums after decades of Sims :P
