Legacy Family Trees: Tree collapses/Overlaps/Shows wrong connections

I opened up an older file that I played thru 11 generations just to test out the new family tree. It doesn't happen for all sims but sometimes I will select a sim and they disappear and the whole tree collapses.

So this is the way the tree looks like when i have ashley's father selected (he's off to the right out of frame). If i click on her portrait it looks like this

So some of the relatives are still there but plenty are missing. This is the whole tree that shows, quite collapsed. Hovering over the portraits does display the correct relation to Ashley but as you can see, she isn't there at all. If i select her great-granddaughter it comes back

This is happening with Ashley and all four of her children. Her sister and her sister's children show up normally. Every generation before and after appear to be fine, but i have not clicked every portrait.

Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title

Note from EA_Solaire:

Hello all,

If any of you are still encountering this on the latest game version (without mods), would you be willing to share your save file(s)?

If so, please send me a private message with a link to the file. Instructions can be found here: https://forums.ea.com/idea/the-sims-4-bug-reports-en/information-how-to-send-user-files-to-the-sims-4-team/5048472

Thanks!

Ok, I hope everything gets fixed soon. I've been playing with this save for more than 10 years. Ihave many families on this save. I was excited with patch maling better family trees, but as always, it just makes everything worst. Am I supposed to send my save files? Where and how should I do that?

In my legacy save, the issue becomes more noticeable when one Sim has children with different partners. In my case, one child is a reborn Sim (using the Life & Death rebirth system), while another child is born normally with a different parent.

When this happens in a multi-generation family, the family tree starts behaving inconsistently. The reborn child may be missing from their own family tree view, while the other child may stop showing one parent (usually the father), even though all relationships work correctly in gameplay.

I can’t reproduce this in a fresh save with only one generation — it only happens in long-running legacy families with complex genealogy.

Ditto. One of my lines has the mom married to her dead brother, and he's the father of her five kids? Only not actually, because it does recognize that it's their uncle too?

The best bit is when I click on the mom, it shows that their dad is their dad, but their dead Uncle Patrick is now their second dad!
