Crash for a bit sounds like the sleep over notification:

Hey, you! I'm in... a bit of a weird place right now. Do you mind if I come crash with you for a while? I promise I won't take up too much room, I just need to get away for a bit.

Heya! Things have been sorta crazy lately and I need a place to stay for a while. Mind if I crash at your place for a little bit?

Did you try it and see what happens ?

crinrict​  Nooooooo I was in a new save and really didn't want the possible consequences. :)  I read Reddit comments saying it is a request to actually move in and it often/usually comes from NPCs.

Was it either of these messages or something different ? Do you remember ?

I checked that and it's a string from Growing Together so I'm guessing it would have been a sleep-over and not a move in.

Probably still shouldn't happen but I'll adjust the title until someone feels like trying it out to see what happens :D
