[LLQE] Sims randomly wearing Antique Jeweled ring

I'm also seeing this problem in my game. I put the ring on my sim in his everyday and party outfits but it appeared in his athletic outfit in game and caused him to have an uncomfortable moodlet from the cursed ring. The ring is not visible in CAS, but still appears in-game even when I removed it from all of his other outfits. Now he's forever uncomfortable from a ring I cannot remove. :/

Also experiencing this bug.
I have been participating in the event, with a single household. I have unlocked the ring, but I have not equipped it on any sims. The ring has randomly appeared on another Sim, in another household, along with the Heir of Desire discomfort moodlet.
--Update: Additionally, having just come from attempting to remove the ring from within CAS, the ring is not equipped in CAS, on any outfits, but reappears with the curse/moodlet, back in play mode.

Yeah, I had that problem. I discovered if you change their aspiration to Mansion Baron and move them into a rich sims house you might be able to complete it. I moved into the Spencer-Kim-Lewis house but it wasnt enough so I moved into Judith Ward's (Get Famous) house and that completed it and I could remove the ring. 

In other family I unlock the ring and I use it for game with this family, It is ok for them. BUT I play other family, boy go from child to teen, and game put the ring on him! I get it down, but now my sim is cursed, I see the ring on hand in game but not in CAS!

I did not participate in the event. My SIM got a promotion in the education career and was suddenly wearing this cursed ring. It took me a few hours to find out where this ring was coming from. After some googling I've found out it's linked to this event. While I've never participated. I'm not interested in a few extra baubles. I'm not willing to achieve the aspiration needed to lift this annoying curse, so I just kill the SIM and have to start over. Please EA don't throw bones at us we do not want and never asked for. You're ruining what's left of an already heavily bugged game.

Lord help us all. 
I clicked on my wardrobe and tried out the “try on outfits” option ONCE, as it’s a function I never use. Unbeknownst to me, I would be forever cursed with the heir of desire through a ring I don’t even have applied to any of my own outfits. 
I immediately changed, completed all recommendations to rectify this god forsaken curse, (on a ring that we all worked for mind you),  and to my absolute dismay I am stuck like this for what seems to be forever according to the sims community. Can we please, I beg of you, get a bug fix for this as soon as possible? Just take the ring back, please!
