Loading into Lots + Households

Since the 20th, I've been experiencing the loads of my lots plus households not working. With a pre-existing household, I had them travel back to their lot after going out. However, I didn't travel back with them for some reason so I clicked on the lot and the play button. After numerous tries with various lots,  new households, and repairing my game, I can't follow my Sims anywhere. I did see a report of someone who had a similar issue due to the most recent update so this could be related. If anyone has any info on how I can fix this I do really appreciate it! (side note: I do have custom content downloaded as well, but have never had an issue result from it before.
