No, it was just prior to sending them on vacation, I think the day before in-game.
I take it if you make a new date now it still doesn't work for you ?

Yeah, I tried a clean folder and it seemed like that worked for a while. I was able to go on 4-5 dates that acted normally, but this bug is happening again. This time, the couple does not even have the option to romance each other on top of the date actions menu missing. They are not related, both young adults, and there are no known romance gender preferences between them that would prevent romance interactions from happening. The first time this bug happened, it was during Love Day. It's now Love Day again, so maybe that is related?
I tried to duplicate the bug again, and was able to do so somewhat successfully. I had another couple in the household go on a date (the same couple as the original bug) still during Love Day. Date actions are only available for one sim, and the option to "End Date Cheerfully" is missing. This couple has been on dates since the original bug that behaved normally.
I took a different sim on a date the following day (not Love Day) and the date actions menu was not available at all again.
Thanks. I'm moving this to bugs but setting to AAR to see if others are affected by this.
