[LS] Hook Up interaction doesn't result in relationship but negative sentiment

I'm  a bit unclear on the scenario. Is Sim B in a relationship with someone else or with Sim A afterwards ?

To make sure, Sim B was single before ?

Yes, Sim A and B were both single prior to the hook up each time. This has happened multiple times in my game, each overall happened with 4 different pairings that have never included the same sim A or B.

It's like the game is registering the new relationship between A and B as a pre-existing one but it's canceling out the hook up anyways.

Sorry for asking more but I'm still not sure I understand this fully:

A and B are in a relationship afterwards but they get a negative sentiment about it ?

There is a known issue where the results in phone calls and neighborhood stories aren't actually true when you switch to them: [NEEDS SAVES] Neighbourhood stories phone calls not having intended affect | EA Forums - 11572323 .. is this what you mean ?

Okay so what happens is sim A is on the lot, I use the hook up option from the menu on a sim who is not on the lot, sim B

A day or two in game pass and sim A will call my sim to say they've had a wonderful time and are now together with sim B. Maybe an in game hour after that, I get a call from sim A saying that sim B is in a relationship. Sim A gets a relationship decrease and negative sentiment with my sim, and they are in fact not in a relationship with sim B, with both A and B remaining single

Does sound similar to the neighborhood stories issue but it's not the phone call but something on the menu you initiated. Think that's a lovestruck interaction.
