Hi everyone, I am reaching out because I'm having a square shadow underneath my Sims. I play with Lighting set to High/Medium. The square disappears if I set Lighting to "Low" or turn Laptop mode on ...
Ideas
I edited the sgr file directly in the game files (with a copy on desktop just in case). I think my editions were being read cause I turned shadows to false in high settings and they looked like low settings (idk if makes sense), Then I moved the sgr file to Override (empty folder) and the game didn’t work, it crashed on startup.
Every single sim, even NPC, inside the house, I noticed that only happens certain times of days (sunrise and sunset), so it would go and come back. But if sims go outside doesn’t happen.
I haven't tried generating a completely fresh folder in Documents yet. I will try and see if it works

Yep, you can work around that. It's explained in the post I linked.
Let me know how you get on with the clean folder with only that one save copied into it.
