[MAC] Makeup sliders don't work when sliding to the left

Wow, I was one of the original commenters on this issue two years ago. I no longer play the sims because the bugs, especially this one, frustrated me to no end. I was just curious to see if this had been fixed, really disappointed to see that the issue is still persisting.

This is still just as much an issue as ever. It really limits our options in CAS and, takes away nearly half of the skin tones we are supposed to have access to in this game, and makes the makeup a lot less usable. PLEASE can this get looked into properly? It's not fair that Mac users don't have the same CAS options as Windows users. We've paid just as much for this game.

Also an issue for me. I didn't realize it was potentially Mac related until reading these comments, but that tracks. Also on a Mac and can only use makeup and skin tone sliders to the right, nothing happens moving to the left. 

When in CAS using the colour sliders on makeup or skin tone only works up you slide them to the right. Sliding them to the left does nothing to change the brightness, saturation, or hue. This is the case in CAS, and does not change when you enter live mode. 
I cannot darken my Sims' skin tone or their makeup. I've noticed this issue ever since I first downloaded the game on my Mac two years ago, when I was only using the base game and no mods. 
I currently have every single pack and kit (minus Bust the Dust) and use some mods, but even without the mods, the colour sliders don't work. I know other Mac players have had this issue as well.

High school years released on 7/28/2022, and the prep patch just before it is what broke the sliders for mac users. OVER THREE YEARS of not even a single acknowledgement that this is an issue, and no the “under investigation” status isn’t enough. How did this not come up in testing at any point since then, ESPECIALLY for tattoos? I’m losing my mind seeing benign things like swatch color tags being fixed when i’ve basically had to become a cc creator if i want any hope of my darker skinned sims to have complimentary makeup and tattoos.

This is still happening with me as well, and has been for a long time. I'm also on a M1 Apple computer.
