Whenever I try to place a mirror in my basement, the stairs start glitching, flashing/flickering. It doesn't matter where I place the mirror inside the basement, and using/not using the bb.moveobject...

is this with or without mods/cc ? Could you add a picture/video of what you are seeing ?
I know I'm not op, but I'm also on a mac and I have videos for you cause I'm experiencing the same issue. (no mods or cc in game rn, all mods disabled). Here's a link to the videos. If so, try the changes to the graphicsrules.sgr shown in the solution post by Bluebellflora. If that doesn't work, come back and we can go from there.
