I don't know how to describe it other than getting a bunch of W's on the home page and in CAS. Here's a photo of it on the home screen, but I don't have any CAS photos since it sort of quickly flashes. This also isn't who I'm playing as currently, so I'm not sure if this is what pops up when you don't have a family or what?

The Main Menu will no longer show “WWWWWW” when there isn’t an active Household to display on the Main Menu.

It is not a family you can play with it is just a graphic. you seem to have a mod problem as your screen is showing wwww wwwww wwwww. you should rename your mod folder and make a new one and gradually move your mods a few at a time.
I don’t have any packs only the base game and I have this strange family with 1 dog and 1 cat (I don’t have any packs) and I never create this family how can all help me pls??

No sims are available in my game. It is not just this screen problem. Nothing I have done has helped. I have even uninstalled everything and reinstalled. Drivers are updated.. UGH!
not cool. We have spent tons of money on the game and there is not solution. That's messed up.
I just had the exact same issue, you dont have to delete any mods or scrip mods at all. what you want to do i s go to your EA app itself and repair the sims 4 game, after that load it up. the WWW will still be there. so what you want to do afterwards is go to load game, and delete any games you no longer play anymore, since they will be in your library, but then the most recent game you want to recover a save before the most recent time saved. and then delete the none copied game. and it should be fixed, mine i fixed like this.
Hi. Sorry for my bad English. I have the wwww problem too, but I can't get it play mode. when I click the play botton, it always take me back to map selection. I tried taking out the saves folder and mods folder out, but it didn't fix. I also tried uninstall and install it back but it still happened. 😭
sims 4 update October 2025, on the main home screen it shows a load of "wwww" on the left side of the screen, then it doesn't even show my load games?? the update has screwed my game.. help please!
