Mixologist behind bar, but not tending it, unavailable for orders

My Sim is in Mixology career and needs to make drinks for daily task and build skill, but I have to click on this several times to make her actually create a drink. 

Namely, if I line up another task to complete for once she's finished making her drink, she just won't make the drink at all and will immediately leave to do the next task.
