It happened all the time and I need to have my sim spare snack bag in case they need food because most of the time I found no option to order drink/food interaction. Sometime there is available order interaction appeared and the order succeed and the simoleon deducted but the drink never realized, the order will realized when my sim came back a few days later and all of the sudden my sim went to the bar and pick the drink without making any new order, it happened to me many time. The order was delayed. It is strange.
BTW I played on PS5.
