Multiple Issues

It doesn't feel like it but it's been 2 months since the issue with the control layout and customized settings being reset after the game restarts. After customizing in CAS it doesn't show up in the gameplay, but when I double check in CAS it's there. My restaurants aren't getting any customers despite being open for hours or they leave early and sims return from school/work early after someone else travels.  Anyone else having these issues?
