I remember back when the game started, friends invited my Sims to birthday parties. And to other parties too. I'm talking specifically about the ones held at home, not somewhere out in town. But over time, the invitations stopped. Apparently, it's a bug in the game, and I thought it would be right to report it.
No mods or CC. All the expansions included. PC.
I think I got one or two after seasons, but it has definitely been several years. I miss them, the Delgatos uses to invite me all the time.
Wow, I forgot this was even a thing until seeing this thread. I remember these, because I had a few way back in an old Legacy I used to write. And yeah, the timeline limes up because I was still getting them during my fourth generation and incorporating them into the story I wrote, but that was definitely the last time I saw them. Seasons came out during the next generation, and I never saw another invite to an event that wasn't attending a festival.

I just want to update this by saying that since the update, it wasn't as I feared, that we would end up with almost no invites. I am still getting invites, and in fact they are more varied now. (and they are ones not added by mods) I have gotten some invites I have never seen before, and never knew existed, like invites to Afterlife Anonymous, the Full Moon Revelry, Mentorship hangouts, (I had mentees drop by before for skill building at my sims house, but never a call to invite my sim out to a different lot until the update, then i got it twice, once to a library, and once to a bar) and so on, i also got a stayover request. So either i had a streak of good luck, or they did do something that made some of the events that were not triggering before show up again. I did also get some party invites, but as mentioned, i do use a mod to tweak NPC parties, so...
I don't recall ever seeing my Sims invited to a birthday party. They seem to only receive stay-over calls within my first in-game week of playing. They regularly receive festival invites.
Same for me. I also never get stay over requests. Again I have the full gameplay packs. Nothing after R&L only the free stuff
I don't know if I've honestly EVER been invited to a birthday party. I have aging on outside of the current household so you would think that friends and neighbours would invite me to birthday's (they age up) but they don't.
Wow, I have never had a sim invited to a birthday party, funnily enough that was something I put in the recent QNA about phone calls, how it would be cool to get invites to events 🤔 this should definitely be patched and updated, seems fun
