thanks for clarifying. There's a few reports in this thread and one just said that there's no mentoring so it was unclear what the base issue is.
I checked now and my Sim does have the option to mentor knitting. They have actually both mentoring and teaching so it's unclear why it's not showing up for the business class.

I have the same issue, but just like you I can absolutely mentor knitting on someone in my household. However, I cannot mentor knitting to customers of my small business.
My workaround is that I make another sim in my household knit during the class, and I mentor them. It<s not very convenient if I want to have my other sim doing something else.
