NPC Sim invades home - inconclusive Cause (Patch 1.110)

Random Townies keep walking in my house. My Sim doesn't even know most of them, but all of a sudden, they're upstairs on the computer, watching TV, and walking through my home. It has been happening consistently post patch, but I have never had this happen before.

There are several causes/symptoms.

Here's an overview of threads: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims invading Homes | EA Forums - 5036155

If possible, please post in the correct thread for the symptom you are seeing. Post here if you're unsure.

  • My sims live in an apartment in San Myshuno. Every once in a while, strangers will walk completely unprompted into the apartment and start using their furniture. Tried locking the door for only household, then everybody, then tried disallowing neighbors/solicitors/vampires/friends. Shift-clicked on the intruders and selected to reset them, but they've still entered.

Im living in Evergreen harbour with my partner and 3 children and the eco-Master just walked in totaly uninvited ( Was busy doing workout) and started to use computer upstairs in bedroom. Not nice having someone walk in when you have 3 children it is sooo creepy

Does he have infants. I had this happen to me only when infants are crawling around the world. That seems to be the cause. Check your world next time to see if the infant in their household are around. Since story progression allows npcs to have babies then age up to infants. If you see the infant then let everyone know here then also follow this bug report. Infants showing up as Walk by's | EA Forums - 12625726

Just a correction I was talking about the sim who broke in and started using your sims stuff. Did you check their household to see if they had infants. This issue ties to the npcs if they have infants. Not your sims.

lol no he was a single homeless sim the game spawned for the role of eco master. it is creepy having a sim just walk in as if they lived there. i had to use MCCC to make him leave as i had no option to ask them to leave or say bye

  • I don’t know about anyone else, but I noticed that when you play on rental properties today after the new update, you cannot prevent your neighbors walking into your unit. They can just walk in and you cannot ask them to leave? Like I’m very irritated about this right now. Anyone else?

Then might be a different issue. I don't know since I only have the issue when infants are crawling around the area. Sorry for the late replay. I had a early night due to lack of sleep I've been getting.

I created a brand new home. In live mode, I registered as a small business. From there, I went back into build mode and separated the residential area from the business. However, so many NPC sims are arriving on the lot (when the business is closed and open) and walking into the residential area, eating food, watching TV, etc. I have restarted the game and changed the lot traits, and all I can think of, but they keep spawning and just walking into the residential. However, a pre-made small business lot doesn't do the same. I'm not sure what to do at this point.
