A few minutes into playing after updating, my sim gets a call from her cousin to say that the cousin is now in a relationship with her own brother. I went into the other family to check and sure enough they have a romance bar, and are tagged siblings, sweethearts, and partners. This is NOT okay.

Whenever I go into CAS to modify appearance or outfits, my Sims who are in a romantic relationship will have a sibling relationship bit added. Using MC Command Center (yes, I do use mods) to remove the bit does not fix it as they still cannot perform romance interactions on each other. I have tried removing the bit, and then saving and closing my game, and deleting the cache but it just comes right back upon reload. This happened before the July 1st 2025 update, but is still persisting. It has made one of my saves unplayable.

My married sims can't romance each other anymore. First, only the "massage" interactions was showing in the romantic interactions, then all the romantic interactions disappeared! But they're still married and have a romance bar, they can get divorced (tried that but the romantic interactions didn't come back), and they can romance other sims!
I'm experiencing this issue since the last update. It was supposed to be fixed from what I read here [LS] Sims cancel romantic interactions ☹️ I tried what was suggested and nothing worked.
I also tried to uninstall the Loves truck expansion but it still did not work.

Mes sims mariées ne peuvent plus avoir d'interactions romantiques avec l'autre. D'abord, seules les interactions "massage" restaient dans la catégorie Amour, puis toutes les interactions romantiques ont disparues ! Mais elles sont toujours mariées et ont une barre de romance, elles peuvent divorcer (j'ai essayé mais les interactions romantiques ne sont pas revenues), et peuvent avoir des interactions romantiques avec d'autres sims !
J'ai essayé tout ce qui était suggéré dans le poste partagé ci-dessus mais rien ne fonctionne. J'ai aussi essayé de désinstaller Amour fou mais ça n'a pas fonctionné.
StarMnuch Are your sims also showing as siblings? This is a separate bug that hasn't been fixed. The canceling doesn't sound like your issue: in that case, which was related to romantic satisfaction, sims had other options for romantic interactions but wouldn't follow through.
Point is, see whether the sims are listed as siblings, and if so, I can merge your thread with the master bug report here:
I have a wife in this game and in the sim genealogy it shows her as my spouse and also as my sister. i changed it once before by spending hours trying to remove her from my household and re add her but it happened again now
I have this issue with my lesbian married sims. They're sisters now?!
One of them acquired the skillful sleep and used it.

Throwing in that I'm having this issue in two saves now - and since all my sims are gay, this is a huge issue if they don't fix it bc all of my games will become unplayable.....
I didn't notice if my second house had issues with romantic interactions because I just noticed the 'brother' tag between them yesterday and deleted it and thought nothing more of it bc it had happened to a prior couple. I thought it was just a weird glitch and I was busy with their family so I don't recall if I noticed missing romance interactions but when I played today I noticed they are gone and I can't get romantic interactions back for them no matter what I do. And I deleted all the cache files and reloaded the save and the tag is back, even without going into CAS.
My only saving grace is one is an elder and is going to die soon, but, **bleep** Sims Team, does he deserve to die thinking his spouse hated him, that's cold.
So my save with super sim and her family with a lot of hours gameplay has just been ruined as they are now related. My two sims were happily married with two lab babies now they have two separate lines and are about to get divorced because they can not be intimate. I am playing a new save now just completely devastated as I don't think this can be fixed??
This thread isn’t even being looked at by EA or their team. The label on this thread is that it’s incomplete and it’s not under investigation. If you can please share this thread so people know about it and can get it fixed on top of all the bugs the new update just dropped on our games. 🥲
Trying to change relationship status in CAS doesn't work. For some reason, my sims fiancee just moved in but it classed her as her sister now, and i can't switch it to household member. Tried with random townie family o change relationship status, didn't work, and tried with brand new family in CAS, didn't work
It's been happening to me too! I've tried adding fake parents for the partner sim so the family tree wouldn't bug out. This seems to ONLY happen to same sex couples in my game, so EA really needs to do something to rewrite that code.
