Photos/Paintings turning black (1.102.190/1.82)

Just had this issue last night, which is how I found this thread. I had my sim taking photos of her wife and when I went to place them on the wall, they were blacked out. But they were already blacked out from her personal inventory— I took the photos and they went into the inventory blacked out after exiting out of the camera mode. There were also two photos in their bedroom that I couldn’t remember what they were, gone; I remembered after it was of their dog. Those were taken by my other sim with her cell phone. Their wedding photos that I took previously seem to be okay. Now I am afraid to open my game and play any more thinking any of those could black out.

The only script mod I have is MCCC. I have cas/bb custom content but I’ve been using all of this stuff for years and only just encountered this issue. I’m also playing on a Mac, it’s from about 2019 maybe earlier. I don’t know if it’s happening in other saves but I’m honestly too afraid to open my game and check 😖

I am also having the same issue, I didnt notice until just recently, and I had just taken so many family pictures to save for my legacy and over half of them are black. It doesnt matter the size or the what camera is used, they turn black. I have disabled mods and cc, and they still turn black. I even repaired the game.

My photos are also black... I take several photos and some return to normal. But after reloading the game it goes back to black again.

Same thing is happening to me! I tried removing all my mods too but it made no difference. This problem only effects photos that were taken after the 1.113.297.1020 update. All the photos my sims have taken before that update are completely fine and intact, but every photo that my sims take since that update turn black once I exit the game (even just to the main menu) and then go back to the game save.

I had the same problem. I'm on my 12th generation and there are hundreds of pictures. Lately I've encountered blacked out pictures, twice. I play a vanilla game, no CC & no Mods. This started happening after installing the new expansion pack.

since the update that was supposed to fix the bugs in the business & hobbies pack, the photos that my sims have taken are black. i tried re0launching my game and taking a photo again and they are normal, but the previous photos are still black and i don't know if it'll happen again if i take more photos now.

Every time when I download a painting from the gallery and I put them in a wall in a lot, after I save and close the game, the next time I open the game again, the painting will be white, like a blank canvas.  All the beautiful work a fellow simmer did, it's gone.

This also happened to me :( I took my mods out of my game and created a new save to see if my mods were the issue, but unfortunately, the photos I took in that save are blacked out as well. I seriously hope the bug hasn't completely ruined the photos. 

I have also come across this issue. All pictures taken after the update turn black, all pictures taken before the update are fine. The pictures look fine before saving and exiting the game, but once I reload the pictures have turned black.

It happens with mods in-game but also in new saves after a factory reset with no mods or custom content installed. I play on pc with the latest update installed, all drivers updates and sufficient storage space.
