It’s working better than before though because now there are animations happening when my sims cook instead of them just standing there staring into space.
But the buttons are still stuck and glitching, not pausing or speeding up when I click them and keyboard controls (0-3) don’t work at all while my sims are cooking, I have to click the pause/speed buttons with my mouse, the keyboard is not an option.
And like before, as long as my sims aren’t cooking, all controls work as they should and the game runs fine. But when they’re cooking, the buttons don’t work and the game is glitchy…it’s so weird lol
Also, I didn’t add anything back into my game, I’m playing it totally vanilla.
Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?
- Press Windows-Key + R
- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.
- Attach the Text File to your post

Could you try if you have any luck with a clean boot: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
Test if it works better this way and then start the computer normally again and report back with the result if that helped with the speed.
Yes, these are the only issues in my game. Everything else is fine. I’ve tried what you suggested but unfortunately it doesn’t work.
I’m sure it’s just my computer because it runs with AMD R4 and my laptop is AMD R5 (which is a tiny bit faster than the first) and on both devices I have the same issue, but my mother’s new computer has Intel i5 and I tried the game on there and omg it runs GREAT! lol no lag and no glitch at all, and no long loading times.
For now it’s fine, the glitch isn’t breaking my game, it’s just annoying. If you have any other suggestions, I’m all ears, if not, it’s okay. Thank you very much for all your help, I really appreciate it! :)
