Hi! I'm sure this has been reported before, but it has been an ongoing issue for me and it happened again today so I thought I'd submit a report for it.
I am on console, so I use square to move/drag objects in live mode. On several occasions, I have had pop-ups (such as asking me about discovery traits, or asking me to name a book my sim started writing) while moving these objects that completely lock me out of any selection or action. Nothing will respond at all, I cannot put the object down nor can I select anything from what the pop-up is asking. It just shows the object on my cursor as if I'm moving it, but I cannot place it. There is nothing I can do but force close the game, which has lost me significant amounts of gameplay time over the years.
There is no way to predict what precise moments these events will pop up. It forces me to limit my other sims' autonomy to mitigate the chances, or avoid picking objects up entirely (which is really annoying to do because I'm big on crafting!)
Would absolutely love to see this addressed! It is genuinely made me fear picking up objects.
