Rainbow eyeshadow gets excessively added to NPCs situational/role outfits

Some men sims (haven't seen on a woman sim) wear makeup/eyeshadow in-game that is not in CAS.
So you'll see men NPC in gameplay and he has colorful that eyeshadow. I have tried to take it off in cas.fulleditmode, but when I'm in CAS editing that sim, none of the outfits have the eyeshadow on. It only appears in gameplay. I have took it off in every single outfit but it still appears in game.

I'm not sure but it seems to happen in lot of events. My example pics are from Actor career when I'm in filming location just after finishing the act. As the picture shows, it is somehow locked in to the sim. In the picture the sim no longer has the hair of the assinged movie role, but the eyeshadow is still there, it was also in the moviecostume. So even after "reseting" and losing the movierole hair, the eyeshadow stuck. I have also seen it at a debate-event in university on a debater. So I guess it doesn't happen to a regular NPC walking around the neighbourhood.
And I don't think its linked to certain event outfits by default/built-in. For example the debater or actor, why on earth an policeman in a movie would suddenly after years of expansion pack being out have a shiny rainbow eyeshadow? It doesn't fit the outfit or the vibe of the debater either, so it isn't built in the outfits.

I don't hate the eyeshadow but its starting to get annoying since many of my male NPS's are slaying with their inappropriate eyeshadow in casual events and I can't take it off.  I think this started happening with the update (Beginning of April 2025) that gave us new colorful/pride furniture and clothing, since the eyeshadow came with that update. Does anyone else have this problem?

Could you please provide the following information

    -  Are you using mods/cc in your game ?
    -  Did you check the work outfit with sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas

  • I also found another man NPC at the moviestudio before leaving. And the same person I happened to take example photos of called me: still having the eyeshadow on. I attached another photo. After the phone call I invited the same guy to my house, and then the eyeshadow was gone. So it clearly comes and goes, mostly comes since I rarely interact with the NPC's outside the events.

I'm not using any mods or CC, and I cannot change NPC's work outfit with that cheat, is there a work-around?
But I don't think that the problem is in the work outfits on the NPC's, since there are also NPC's with the same outfit, just minus the eyeshadow.

Does it enter CAS but you can't change it ? Was just wondering if it's on that outfit.

NPCs are often generated with awful outfits and do seem to love this eyeshadow. You should be able to remove it tough so I wonder which outfit it's on. Did you get it in the actor career after makeup change or did it just show up at some point ?

For NPCs there's also situational outfits that you can't edit. So it's possible on those.

Yes, kind of. I can enter the CAS with cas.fulleditmode (then it doesn't show the eyeshadow on any outfit) but I cannot enter the NPC's work outfit with sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas (it only sends me to edit my playable sims work outfit.)

So yeah, I don't know which outfit it is either since its not the situational outfits I can access with cas.fulleditmode. Through there I have taken the eyeshadow off it it was in any situational outfits, but somehow it shows up in game. So it might be the work outfits, but I can't access them so I cannot check it or take them off either.

But the problem is with NPC's, not playable sim. Though in CAS while creating a new sims it loves to throw it on quite often but that you can take off so it isn't the problem.

As I said before, the eyeshadow seems to appear on NPC's when you are in event or at work. As an used example, actor career where NPC workmates, such as other actors or producers. The debater at university debate-event for example, had his green suit on for the event and also wearing the eyeshadow. Which I cannot take off since it doesn't show up on situational outfits and I cannot check event/work outfits of NPC's.

So yeah, in a nutshell: the problem seems to be linked to work/event outfits on NPC's, which I cannot edit with sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas.

OK. I might have misunderstood you then. I thought the actor was your own Sim.

It sounds like it's tied to role outfits, maybe also situational then. The ones you described are tied to a role (actor while playing the career) or the debater. I don't know of any cheat to get rid of those.

They should not stay that way though. Do they switch back to their normal outfits outside the role ?

If I invite them over after work etc. they have switched back to their normal outfits. But at the work-lot, even after finishing the day (and staying in the lot since that is an option in actor career) they don't switch to their normal, situational outfits. Which is understandable because guess they are still at work. So I guess its just work/event tied outfits that for some reason have that eyeshadow.

And it doesn't happen to every sim. It seems to be usually tied with male NPC's, since I haven't seen it on females at all. It also doesn't seem to happen every male NPC; there are ones without it and with it. Its just maybe 50/50 when it appears, which is quite a lot since I assume it isn't supposed to happen.

They need to tone down the accessory in general. It's still a problem when creating a new Sim on certain outfits and NPC generation.

Maybe they'll fix it for good one day ...

Yeah that's true and lets hope so.

This is just a new thing to happen, since the eyeshadow came in to the game like a month ago. And its quite annoying when you cannot do anything to it, atleast without mods.
