Random Sims coming onto property to rummage through or Knock Over Trash Bin

Is it just me??🤔 I was noticing random Sim/NPC trespassing onto my property and knocking over the trash and making a mess, then walking away again. I'd send my Sim to clean it up and keep playing ...

Wait is this why I have random trash fruit plants near my trash bin every so often?

I play with all walls up, and don't really have a vantage point (very often) of my trash bin, and when I do move the camera to the view that area, once in a while I see trash plants growing.
