Every time I send a sim to work or to school they stay on the lot walking in circles on the sidewalk outside the house where they normally would disappear into the rabbit hole. This doesn't effect their work or school performance. However if I travel anywhere they will be brought back "home" with a notification that they are home from school/work for the day. I do not use mods or CC, my game is fully updated, and I am having this issue as of 10-23-2025.
I am having this issue as well for my kids who are supposed to go to school. I AM using mods and CC but since you're not, I would assume this is a game issue and not mods. I've had no issues since the update with this, until today, and since yours was happening before the update, I'll assume it was a pre-existing issue. It's not all of my sim kids, but 3 of 4...originally it was just 1 but I exited without saving and came back and now it's 3.
