Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do. Please pick a thread tag for that.

I am playing with no mods or CC installed. The scandal event will not go away and my Sims still have the purple cloud exclamation point above their head after 3 weeks in Sim's game play. I believe the scandal system is bugged because I have seen multiple players report that the scandal never clears in their game either.
