Ideas
I'm a PC player using only MCCC. Since applying the May 12th patch to The Sims 4, I've been experiencing a very troublesome issue. It's happening even with MCCC removed, so I wanted to report it.
It seems a feature has been added that automatically adds blood relatives to a dynasty, but its effect is far too strong. Every time I load a household or enter and exit CAS, it seems a dynasty joining check for Sims is performed. And all blood relative Sims are automatically added to the dynasty based on the check result. Even Sims who are already the head of another dynasty were no exception. He was added to his father's dynasty, a dynasty he had never belonged to before. And because of this, he can no longer open the control panel for his own dynasty…! This inoperable dynasty still appears to the other members as if he is the head, just as before. However, even if he left his father's dynasty on his own, or if his father's dynasty leader was expelled, his dynasty's control panel did not reactivate. Furthermore, even after leaving or being expelled from a dynasty, reloading the household would erase those changes. The same thing happened with other dynasties; Sims related to two dynasties were re-evaluated each time the household was loaded, and instead of the dynasty I had set, the system would arbitrarily decide which one they belonged to.
I've found two workarounds so far. One is to ensure both parents belong to the same dynasty. The other is to create a new dynasty immediately after the troubled Sim leaves the dynasty on their own. In fact, I gave up on trying to regain control of the uncontrollable dynasty and instead created a new dynasty with the troubled Sim, recruited the previous members, and moved them to the new dynasty. This prevented him from being returned to his father's dynasty.
