Unreal, EA you need to get better at vetting your code.

Bump1nTheNight I just saw a comment under a youtube video about TS4 latest bugs and problems. Directly copying it, someone said:
"I used to be a computer programmer for a big company. My job was to fix other programmer's programs that had bugs. The code was ancient and undocumented. I kept feeling like I was putting band-aids over top of other band-aids. I suggested to the team that we rewrite the system from scratch. My boss didn't like that, but it was a never-ending patch upon patch. After a year I left that company and slept better at night."
Sounds like the root problem. That's probably exactly what they are dealing with. The sims 4 first came out in 2014, so the base game code is ancient by now. And tons of expansions, game packs are added over time. No sims game has ever lasted for this long and got so many packs. Sims 1, 2, 3, only lasted for like 3-4 years before the next game come out. We should have switched to the sims 5 at least 5-6 years ago and should be getting ready for the sims 6 by now. But instead they keep patching the same old code and adding more and more problems to it while trying to add more packs, features that require more fixes and it inevitably has become a never ending vicious cycle at this point.- Anches1007 days agoRising Veteran
That's exactly right!
I don't get it. More and more expansions have been added to the game over the past 12 years. It just can't work anymore, and the result is that players are getting more and more frustrated.
And I was really looking forward to the expansion pack and the event.
