[RL] Sims get Judgemental Eyes moodlet when they have no scandals

My sim, Baroness Clementine Bailey, messed around with Sidney Price in her own bed on her home lot. This would have been scandalous if it had been on a public lot, but since it wasn't, there is no scandal logged in her notebook. However, she has gotten the Judgemental Eyes moodlet while standing by Sidney and the cafeteria lady in the high school cafeteria. Presumably Sidney is the Secret Witness she is near, unless Ava Harjo was being a peeping Tomasina. But Sidney was a participant, not a Secret Witness.

Bottom line: if it was a scandal, it should be logged in the notebook's Scandal section. If it wasn't, it shouldn't be treated as a scandal.

Alert the presses! My Sims whoo-hooed in their own bed and somehow, my Sim's attempt at expanding their family is now a public exposé for all the world to see. I get that time in the lighthouse in Brindleton Bay, but that was a bucket list item. But this is ridiculous. Furthermore, the "scandal" was discovered, threatened, and reported before my Sim even knew there was a problem. No pop-up with the threat of blackmail. Just, "Be that way! I'm telling the world!" Since when is "try for baby" in your own bed a public scandal? Especially since my Sim decreed that families should be fruitful and multiply? Plus, that annoying scandal cloud doesn't go away after successfully denying reports. "We were in our own bed! I swear!"

    Help!

Could you please provide the following information

    - Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do. Please pick a thread tag for that.

Mods were disabled and the folder temporarily removed. I proceeded to test private woo-hoo and it happened again. I have disabled "scandals" for now... Which apparently doesn't work. The scandal is still ongoing despite disabling it and clearing it via the computer.

There's two very similar threads on private woohoo.

I'm checking with a Community Manager if this should be treated separately or not.

  • I'm having a similar experience.  My married sims woo-hooed while out on a date and received a public scandal (despite me having them turned off for this legacy.  The scandal wore off days ago and yet my sims are still getting the Judgmental Eyes moodlet and are constantly tense around each other now.  I have tried repairing the game, but it didn't help. I ended up breaking down and getting the MCCC mod yesterday because it was to the point I couldn't have them in the same room without one or both getting tense.  I am able to remove the buff with the mod but it just returns the moment the spouses are together.   (Update - added screenshots)
