Romantic Changes in Neighborhood Stories ignore sexual orientation

It's what the title says. This is from the lovestruck expansion pack. When I enable romance changes in the neighbourhood stories. Sims keep getting in a relationship with the same gender,  ignoring their gender preference. This is nothing related to mods it's just how it is. Multiple other of my friends had the same problem that do not use mods. I have of course tested it without mods and nothing changed. For example, my sim who is only attracted to females, got in a relationship with a male when I temporarily switched households. And all of the townies that I created ignore their gender preference. I'm wondering, when will this get a fix? I didn't pay for this expansion pack to turn the whole town into a gay town.

    I got this bug after Lovestruck release and when Romantic changes are ticked under Neighborhood stories, the game will  make lots my sims gay ,no matter what the orientation is.Now my worlds are probably 50% gay because of this bug.Even if edit the sim and change it manually,after a while it happens again as long as the Romantic changes option is ticked under Neighborhood Stories

    I first noticed this issue few patches before this, not sure which one, I thought at the time it was a mod issue. But now just before latest patch dropped, I started a new vanilla save, and allow NPC sims to have romantic changes through neighborhood story, and I noticed that almost all calls asking if they should ask someone to date, all of them trying to date same-sex sims.

    I play on PC, base game only, no packs or kits, vanilla save. On current latest patch.

    Neighborhood Stories romance actions will be prevented from happening between incompatible Sims. Previously, it was not taking Sim's Romantic Preferences into account with "Romance Changes". This now verifies that Sims are still romantically interested in each other's genders before considering the action to be successful.

    Fixed in Patch 1.119.109/2.23
