[S] Can't Interact with Plants that are Out of Season

Again, Mac OS Sequoia 15.3.1

Since I logged in to post the other bug, might as well post this one too. Wasn't bothering because it was just annoying, not game breaking. But I have a ton of plants, and I keep getting the evolve glitter on them, but at any given time there are about a dozen plants sparkling that I can't evolve because (out of season). It bothers my OCD. Also my plants are so packed in that it is often hard to narrow down which one is glittering since the evolve option does not show up for the plant until it is in season again. Even when I am sure that is the one glittering.

Again, not game breaking. Just annoying. Very.

To add to this, with the new Evolve All option, out of season plants which are giving the "ready to evolve" indicator do not evolve when selecting Evolve All. It should be intentional for ALL plants that are ready to evolve do so when Evolve All is selected, regardless of being in season or not. If not, then plants should not be ready to evolve out of season.

I haven't played with uncovered plants seriously in a little while, so unsure when this started for me, but I am right now playing with them as I play through the new pack, and this is happening to me, too. If I click "water all" on an in season plant, my sim will water both in and out of season plants. But I can't directly water or tend to in any way an out of season plant. I removed MCCC to try out this pack (and test some other things) and also deleted the old cache.

  • On Xbox Series X with all packs installed. I hoped the new Fertilize All and Evolve All was designed to fix this problem...but no. I'm growing all harvestables in the game on my current lot. I'm searching through trying to check the Seasons on the sparkling plants to see when I can evolve them, I've shortened the seasons to 7 days because the sparkling is so annoying.  I've also got weed covered dry plants out of season that I can't weed or water using Tend Garden when they are out of season.

Update: I'm getting around this problem by either enchanting plants to allow them to be tended/evolved out of season (with EBN) or by briefly bringing a plant indoors to make it sheltered and allow it to be tended and/or evolved.

  • Happening in my game too.  I play on PC and have all packs.  In all my saves, old new, vanilla or modded, I can't interact with any plants out of season to evolve them (or remove weeds, which hurts my eyes).  As others have said the new Evolve All action doesn't resolve this.

Plants that are out of season can't be weeded, watered or evolved - which is frustrating because you get the visual glitch that they need watering, weeding or evolving yet you can't do anything.  Sometimes my out of seasons plants end up dead because of a lack of care yet, they are out of season, I couldn't do anything with them.  So far the only work around I have for the water and weeding issue is to go into build mode and move the plant which seems to "reset" the plant.  Of course, that does not work when the plant is dead or needing evolving.
